Thanks Slant for the DME part number. Now I need somebody with a functioning "Check Engine Light System" to kindly check their part number. No stress but it will be very helpful in creating a better answer for peopl ein the future.

I'm slightly confused. I have a 90 C2 with a bad oil pressure gauge. I bought a used gauge, and installed it. Now, i've got the check engine light on. Should I just remove the light bulb? The markings on the replacement gauge show it was made in 91. After reading this thread, and a few others, it seems the 1990 cars didn't use this light. Is this true? Thanks.

Wow!!! A post brought back from the past!!!
If you have a '90 car, the odds of it having the check engine light functional aren't good. The light didn't really become standard equipment until 1991 on US cars, but SOME California cars had it. See my link at the bottom of my signature for details (it's a lame site, but it IS functional). You might want to go through the antics of trying to extract a code just to see if they work. If you get no results at all, I would be inclined to pull the bulb, but you may really want to get the car "hammered" first just to see if there are any codes present.
