You're welcome. Out of curiosity, what did the trick?

Hi

I had replaced the ignition wire running from coil to dist cap as it was corroded at the dist cap end. Also removed the dist cap and found the the voltage had scarred the dist cap plastic, rubbed it down, polished it and re varnished. Voila no arc and no more embarrasing warning lights.

thanks again

Rob

another cab owner was having the same problem so i have emailed him privatly, so hopefully thats 2 happy people.

Thumbs up

Rob,

Congratulations! I love a happy ending, and I know what a drag these intermittent electrical problems can be. Glad you solved your problem (but I'm sure I'm not nearly as glad as you are. )

And I see that you're already passing the news onto others to help them solve their problems. Good job!!
