Fiske 17 Inch Wheels
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43957
Im trying to sell a set of wheels that I purchased thinking that they would fit a 964, I think they fit an older 911. I've been told that instead of selling them that I could instead send them back to fiske who would alter the wheel so that it could fit. Im clueless, is this true?

Sure, you can pay Fikse to replace the wheel centers, but it won't be cheap. You'd be better off selling those and buying a set that's already made to fit a 964.
(I've got a set of FM-10's, and they are a pain to keep clean)

Jerseybean, if it's not too late, you may want to correct the spelling of your wheels; it's "Fikse", not "Fiske". Some people may not take the time to put "Fiske" into their search; those that use the word "Fikse" may never see your listing.
I have the race satin (anodized) centers and polished lips on my FM-10's and find that using simple green, a bristle brush made for wire wheels and a wool mitt to be an easy way to get off evil brake dust that comes from padds such as Hawk Blue. If I run street pads and/or am feeling lazy, I just use a cheap Home Depot pressure washer to blast away the caked on dust. It gets most of it out. Be careful if your centers are clearcoated since the pressure may take the finish off.

Rejex is the answer to keeping your wheels clean...believe me, I know!
As for the Fikses, sell 'em, it'll cost you a bundle to convert to later offset, which is done by swapping the inner and outer wheel halves, NOT the centers. Get a quote from Fikse, they'll talk to you...but you may not like the price.
Call up Radial Tire in Maryland, they can get you an EXCELLENT price on Fikse 17" wheels...being that they're not as popular as the 18" now.
