Does anyone know where to get the best price on a video camera mount for a harness bar? The cheapest I've found is $40 at http://www.hardbar.net/price_list.htm
Please let me know if you've either used this one or found another one that you recommend.
Cheers,
Boris

I use the IO Port model, which costs about $100. It pretty much sucks. It has some rubber cushioning, and pretty good adjustability - to make sure that you have the correct angle for the camera. Compared to the one you are considering, the IO Port model is totally awesome.
THis cheap $40 item will offer almost no adjustability and no cushioning. This will probably result in a poor angle for your video, and shaky, jerky footage. In addition, these cheap mounts can seriously wreck your camera, from all of the shaking. I would think twice before making a "penny-wise and pund-foolish" mistake.

ps - there is some video at the above link, taken with the IO Port mount and a Sony Camcorder with SteadyShot.

Boris, considering that you might wind up with what I think is the best harness bar on the market, a Brey Kraus unit...I would certainly consider the BK Camera Mount.
It is quite the quality piece, looks to have full adjustability and fits their bars perfectly. I don't have one myself, but have seen them at the track and asked some owners particular questions about them.
I have a BK Harness Bar and plan to outfit it with a camera someday - it will SURELY be the BK unit...although it's fairly pricey at $159, but who wants to have poor video??

I actually ended up with the Stable Energies harness guide bar... but i found the following one, which seems to be well priced and also high quality:
