OT: Linux Web Browsers, Rennlist logo, etc
This is off topic, having to do with web browsers, and in particular, something that I noted about my profile.
First off, I'm using Red Hat Linux 7.2, and have a choice of numerous browsers, the most likely "permanent" candidates being Netscape 4.78 (pretty old and becoming problematic), Netscape 6.2.1 (minor bugs but seems to work OK for the most part) and Mozilla 0.9.2.1 (seems OK, but seems to have limited security).
One of the things that I noticed on all browser is that the "Rennlist Member" logo doesn't show up when I make a post on any of these browsers. Is Rennlist unaware of the fact that I'm a member? On Netscape 4.78, the "Instant Gremlins" don't show up at all (I assume it's because 4.78 is so old). This has me wondering...does my "Rennlist Member" logo show up on other browsers on other OSes and I just can't see it on mine, have I done something wrong, do I need an avatar to have the logo show up?
I know this sounds trivial to you, but I'm doing web development work and if there's a flaw I'm unaware of I need to know about it.
Thanks,
Bill Wagner

Having the Rennlist Member added is a manual thing that John D. has to do. They get around to it eventually. Apparently when it was automated, some cheap people just typed in anything to look the part. I guess 15 bucks is too much. I don't even know if my "Rennlist Member" is up yet.
Oh, and mozilla 0.99 on both Linux and Windows rocks. On linux, once you get the fonts installed, it looks perfect.

Bill,
I use SuSE 7.3 and currently Mozilla 0.99 and I have no problems at all. Get yourself over to www.mozilla.org and download the latest release the version your are using went out with the dinosaurs

Guys, awhile back, John Dunkle was offering to change anyone what was a Rennlist member to say "Rennlist Member" vice "user". If you haven't specifically requested (via email) that John do that for you...it has likely not been updated.
The browser I have to use at work, Netscape, shows all profiles, "user", "Rennlist Member" and "Rennlist Tech Advisor" just fine...all of your profiles show up as "user" on my screen.
Get ahold of John and ask him to update it for you...it might take a few days, but I'm sure he'll get to it. It seems to be the only solution for the moment, maybe someday we'll have a "blanket" update.
