Cool Rear lights and reflector panel.

Hello everyone,

I think about to replace my rear lights and reflector panel, because is getting pink coloured.

The one who are in now, are from February 1992, the production month of my car, so he had no accident damage overthere. [there are white lables on them]

Does anybody did this before for the same reason, and how much did this cost??

Please answer,

Greetings and have a nice weekend,

Arjan

Hi Arjan,

The shipping may kill you, but you can purchase these at substantial savings--even compared to independent parts suppliers--at discount Porsche dealers like:

<a href="http://www.sunsetimports.com/" target="_blank">Sunset Imports</a>

<a href="http://hendrick.porschedealer.com/" target="_blank">Hendrick Porsche</a>

I bought a right-rear tail-light assembly last fall--not because it was fading, but because of a spider web crack. Got it from Vertex for $184 w/shipping, only to find later I could have gotten it from Sunset for only $134.

I have to replace my reflector panel too. The brake lights look like they there is rust in them. But I cant get at it because it seems to be all encased.

The 993 reflector will cost approx £180 including tax in the UK. Unless anyone knows a cheaper place.

Hi Arjan,
I replaced mine for the same reason just after I bought the car. plus there were cracks from the heat which let in water. Got mine from Pelican Parts in CA.

<a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/index.htm" target="_blank">http://www.pelicanparts.com/index.htm</a>

I think they were $200 for the centre and $180 for each side light.
The easiest job in the world to fit - 5 mins at most!

Arjan,

Is you favourite junkyard Van Zweeden?

By the way, yes, the prices of these rear lights is very high considering what they are.

Are there any conventional tail lights/reflectors ? I mean clear or coloured ones as they exist for the front indicators .......

Thanks!

Wink

I would try <a href="http://www.porsch-apart.co.uk/parts.cfm" target="_blank">http://www.porsch-apart.co.uk/parts.cfm</a> or maybe <a href="http://www.type-911.co.uk/" target="_blank">http://www.type-911.co.uk/</a> who I believe sell the rear reflector thingy for £166+VAT.

Riccardo,

My favorite 'Junkyard' is <a href="http://www.debock-porsche.nl." target="_blank">www.debock-porsche.nl.</a>

Please visit their site, you see nice things.
