I wonder how many first owners of 964s ever touched the toolkit. I mean, if you'd just spend 60-odd grand on a car, you would want (or indeed expect) to get your hands dirty!

Right, who mentioned towels?!

I heard that new Porsches (used to)come with a couple of branded towels? Mine also has two see-thru plastic gloves, (not sure if they're OEM)..what were Porsche expecting its owners to do? Deliver Babies?
I think there's a wheel bag and a drive belt for something in there too.

And so - what is the full original 964 list of in-trunk goodies when the car was delivered?

OK, I sorted mine last night; all present according to the photograph (1st post). However, there's a tool in the technical picture that I can't see in my set (or the photo). It's the one to the left of the towing eye. (i.e. between 5 & 7 on the image)

Any ideas? Part number anyone?

Rob,

I think that's the item in your picture located in the top right corner. Even though the diagram makes it look flat, I don't thing there's another wrench that big in the kit.

The item I don't see in that picture is the wrench to the left of #2 in the diagram. That's a 17mm/19mm boxed wrench with offsets (I think).
