Brake Pads
Hi everyone,
The time has come to replace my brake pads, warning sensor on. Strange as the manual states 2mm limit and 2.5mm if you do want to replace the sensors. I've definately got more than 2.5mm but the sensor has still worn down?
Anyway, I was considering EBC greenstuff pads or go for genuine (I have textar at present and have had no problems). I like the idea of the reduced dust quotes from EBC but does anyone have any experience with these, good or bad. The car is a daily driver and only used on the road (i.e no track use, before any smart comments!)
Any recs.
Thanks

Richard,
If the stock pads are working for you, I'd stick with those. Some like the Axxis pads (less expensive and less dust), either the base or even Metal Masters, too.

I stuck with stock OEM pads and have had good luck so far with my street only 964. There is quite a bit of brake dust associated with these pads.
My brother uses Metal Master pads and loves those as well.
Good Luck,

Yes, I would absolutely stick with the pads you were using if brake dust is at a minimum and they were working for you.
There are several manufacturers that claim "low dust" and longer disk life. I would tend to go for the "low dust" ones myself...I hate the ones I have in there now, but I change them to Pagid Orange when taking off for the track...now those provide LOTS of dust, but stop like you ran into a brick wall!
