HVAC Problems
Any suggestions for DYI? Heater-Control varies from hot to cold, does not maintain a set temperature. Rotating temp **** to overcompensate usually works to some degree. I have not yet tried blowing canned air into the sensor opening beside the temp ****. AC-just went out recently all at once. Checked all fuses in luggage compartment and engine bay and all are fine. Listened for clutch to kick in when my wife pushed AC buttom on/off but could not hear anything. I thought mabey I would be able to hear the clutch come in/out even over the engine noise? The two problems are probably not related, as far as I can tell. I appreciate any suggestions. Dave

I think you can 'see' the AC clutch operate - if you look at the compressor pulley as you press the AC switch - if the clutch doesn't engage, the black part (immediately behind the pulley) won't be turning.
