The article describes how the braking system works, and all the factors that affect braking....Frictional forces, wheel and brake torque, etc. The most interesting thing I got out of the article were the things you can do to increase braking....Lower center of gravity, less weight....Putting larger brakes (i.e. Big Reds) on your car, everything else kept the same, won't really buy you anything.

I think it is well established here (and elsewhere) that Big Reds do not alter braking distance -- neither do ceramic brakes. Thre real difference comes in fade resistance and their susceptiblity to heat. That is why when someone here mentions they want to put Big Reds on their car, everyone jumps on them and asks them if they are experiencing fading at the track.
