Climate Control Unit
I have reason to belive CCU temperature sensor is bad in my 91 cab. Having read past messages on removing the unit, how do I assertain if the sensor is indeed, bad? Is the temperature sensor the same part as the heater fan sensor?
I don't know if this will help any, but I recently serviced mine and found the sensor packed with dirt. I cleaned it and reassembled the unit and all problems were cured.
Word of caution, be careful as it is very fragile.
I had to replace my control unit back in 93. Since then I have blown out the dust just to make sure it clear. You can do it with "canned air" available at most electronics parts suppliers. I direct the air hose into the openning in the control unit to the left of the fan speed ****.

Dear Jerry,
How have you come to the conclusion your control unit temp sensor is not working.
By the way this is not the same as the heater system temp sensor.
There are 4 temp sensors just to confuse you.
One in the rear of the control unit which measures interior temperature.
One in each temperature mixing chamber.
One in the heating ducting by the rear blower fan.
The sensor at the rear of the control unit is the least important of the lot.
Before you start playing with this unless the little fan is noisy and driving you crazy please email me privately (I am not always here on the forum lately) and tell me the symptoms.
Ciao,
Adrian
