Several months ago, I asked if anyone had any experience with a lightweight alternator. As there were no responses, I presumed that none satisfactory to this community existed. Given this, I decided to create the attached which is viable for 964's and 993's. Weighing half that of the Bosch alternative (i.e., a savings of 7+ pounds of rear and heigh up weight -- among the best of weights to remove from a Porsche), given its lightweight internal components (including the pictured titanium shaft), it also gives the engine less weight to move.
