Post My Vin No is............

My vin. number is WPOZZZ96ZLS401935

Does his mean it has dodgy flywheel & no main engine gasket? Does it tell me anything else?

Is it a 1990 or 1989 car?

Thanks in advance!

The "L" in your vin says it's a 1990 model. Unless it's been replaced, you would have the earlier dual mass flywheel and the engine without the cylinder head gaskets. Beyond that, the VIN tells you the sequential build number.

Gary;

Excellent link! I just realized that my car is a 1990 instead of 91!

I could also be the other way around. My MY letter is "P", which means it's a 1994 model, but the car was delivered Sept 1993... Would you call this a 94 C2, or a 93 C2?

Don't forget that the model year doesn't coincide with the calendar year. So a 9/93 delivery could be at the front of the 1994 model year, for example.
