Default Cab Windscreen

Hi guys I saw some pictures of a 964 with a windscreen in between the front and back seats. For anyone who has or has ridden in one with it, how effective is it? Any one know part numbers, cost, aftermarket availability, installation difficulty, etc?

Thanks,
Excelsior

It is absolutely necessary as far as I'm concerned. I've done 120mph (eek!) with the top down with the screen in place, and it's not all that windy. With the screen not in place, you just get beat up from behind - it's not fun with the top down, unless you're doing 20-30mph and no more. Visibility is not hindered - it's a little harder to tell who is behind you (looking at their face - I've had friends honk behind me and I have to look in the side view to see them but that could just be my eyes!) but the visibility is completely unhindered. The visibility is still excellent, especially versus having the top up - that right side blind spot behind you is tough with the top up!

My car has a Porsche part - not sure of the part number but I'll go look for it...

I have a 993 cab with a rear wind screen -- wouldn't be without.
