Are there places that will give loans for someone wanting to buy a 10+ year old Porsche? Some of the cars I'm looking at are older than 10 years and my credit union said they won't <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> finance older than 10 years...
Where do you go for financing?

If you have a good credit rating, you can get a loan from PeopleFirst Finance, LLC. If you have a good credit rating your rate will be VERY low compared to others, and they don't care at all how old the car is.

It can be done. My dealer arranged for my financing through BayView Bank (I think they are on the west coast, and I have no idea if they have other branches).
The local banks I asked wouldn't touch it.
I did get a very competitive rate given the age of the car. He actually said that they will write a note for just about anything. The dealer I worked with sells all high-line used cars (Porsche, Lotus, BMW, Benz, etc.), and even has an occasionally vintage muscle car. He said he has even financed those.

PeopleFirst is an excellent option. They cleared me to buy basically anything I wanted for retail price or below and I have a 753-760 (depending on the source) credit score.
