TYPE911

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is using a Thule or Yakima rack to carry bikes on a Targa.
I know Jeff Curtis is using a Yakima on his coupe. The Thule webiste specifies their system will work on a Targa, but I have yet to find someone who is actually using one on their Targa.

I have an 82 911sc Targa, that is a low-mileage, mint cond. car. NOT something I would ever consider putting a bike rack on. I have a Landcruiser & a Tahoe that is my normal bike hauler. That said, I travel to 15-20 bike races a year, meanwhile the 911 just sits in the garage.
After reading Jeff's posts I thought it would be cool to combine my bike racing & the 911 !

I know there are bumper rack systems, if that is my only option I'll just take the Landcruiser.

Anyone out there with a Targa running a Yakima or Thule rack with success ????
