Cosmetic mods I'm happiest with:

Aero mirrors (repainted doors at mirror bases too)
Boxster twist wheels (17")
Front bumper fogs/brake ducts
Painted brake calipers

Cosmetic mods I'm not sure were worth it:

New rear lights and centre panel (ummm...yeah - I think that they look darker...less pink)
Painting my rocker panels (you have to be under the car to see )
New gas cap (nice and red, not faded orange.....)

Cosmetic upgrades I've done:
3.8RS rear spoiler
front GT-2 style splitter
replacing fog lights with brake ducts on the front bumper
18" Kinesis Supercups (also have a set of 18" Fiske)

Cosmetic upgrades I can't do:
Jessica Simpson in the passenger seat OR me in the passenger seat and Danica Patrick driving (but's more of a performance upgrade).

Yup, and the 996 completed the transformation to totally non-descript.

How about wrapping a 1993 C2 in a 1972 911 tub?

I will try to find a cheap 964 that I can transform into something like that... I want the looks of your car with some bits from the green car and Cibie Oscars driving lights with some GTS vintage styled sport seats...

Chris - yes, I did but as soon as I got it back from the bodyshop for the rust spot touch-ups I took the rocker panels off the paint and replace the sill trim rubber bits. I plan to get it back together tomorrow and, weather permitting, take some photos of how my car looks now.
