Anyone want a new 911 RS America?
I hate to post another topic on something I see on ebay, but with all the 911 RS America talk on the recent postings (I never noticed a topic with over 150 posts), here is an RS with 33 original miles (not 33,000, but 33!) Bidding is getting up there, but heck- this is a virtually new car!
I always find it amazing what some people have sitting out in their garages for years...how could you look at this car and not want to drive it?

He's asking 69,900 on RSAmerica.net and had it listed for a long time first at 89k and then 79k. Sounds great in theory but all you need to do is drive it a few miles and watch the value drop 20 + thousand dollars. Or, buy a good reasonably driven one for a reasonable price and enjoy the car.

That car is definitely one you can't drive unless you want to take a big hit in depreciation. I would assume that car will get passed around from collection to collection and may never get driven much, if at all.
While I understand the owner's reluctance to drive such a car, and I mean no disrespect to that owner, I wonder why a relatively common RS America was choosen to be 'bagged' for it's entire life. I would think an America Roadster, a 1994 911 Celebration model or a Speedster would be a more desirable 964 to bag up and put away. Granted, those cars were initially more expensive. Mass produced cars usually don't make for good investments either.
I wonder what is happening to those engine internals from just being run 4 times a year and never really gotten up to normal operating temperature...
