I've now done some research.
for those in the US try http://www.densionusa.com/merchant/merchant.mvc to buy direct from the manufacturer.
Also for ROW try www.dension.com they have a dealer locater link.
The unit has an aux input. Looks like a pretty sweet unit.

Manual says it'll play .pls and .m3u playlists - have you been able to convert or import your iPod playlists? I can't find how mine are stored in iTunes - only that I can export them as .txt or .xml files.

Makes sence Marc.
I got the impression in the thread that you will need to convert the iTunes files to work. I know apple has a special coding.
Thinking I might order one and see how I get on

Rob,
Great reply, thanks. I have some reservations about buying stuff like this on ebay, but I can't find a single regular retail outlet for Densions head unit in the UK, so I guess I'll have to buy from your guy. Re-assuring to hear that the service was OK.
Dension's web site is pretty uesless too, couldn't even find out what power output the thing has.
John H
PS. And don't worry about your hearing, I can't tell CD from MP3 either!

Marc - not sure about this one. As far as I can make out, you can't import external playlists and you have to create new ones using Dension's Manager software but I couldn't be bothered. Could well be wrong though.
John - I guess I should stress that this was just my experience & that I'm not affiliated with the ebay vendor but had no probs personally. Also, the manual says it's 35 watts per channel.
Take it easy, Rob

Manual is available here: http://www.densionusa.com/support_fi...ers_manual.pdf
According to the manual, you can select an unlimited number of playlists (first 6 from the preset buttons) that can be .m3u or .pls type or the Denison version (.mra) created in the supplied software. I also downloaded supplied the software and tried it - it allows you to import WinAmp .m3u playlists (hence my question about converting iTunes playlists to .m3u playlists) or create your own playlists they call MyRadio.

It's been a while but I saw a tech TV show a while back where they fitted a WiFi connection to a car with a radio/hard drive similar to this. You pull into the driveway, walk inside, relax on the couch and decide what music you want and don't want. They you press a button and it's all done wirelessly. I'd like to do something like this as well... Or an Ipod hookup. I've got 4200+ songs and I'm getting ready to pick up another 2k or so songs. It would be nice to have them already in my car and not have to worry about anything else.
Great first post! Welcome to the board!

I have actually just purchased all new Infinity speakers, an Ipod ready Pioneer headunit, Ipod adapter and Ipod Mini 6GB. That way I have both the personal and car audio covered...
