Factory time for the US C2 (including the cab) is 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, 13.9 quarter mile. Magazine test will get that lower, but often they dump the clutch and do other things you wouldn't want to do to your car. I don't know anything about the G-tech device, so I'm just posting the factory times per my factory released specification sheet, but I'm sure people get it lower than 5.5.

By the way, the 5.5 time is for a stick shift- the tiptronic is slower- that may be the car where you have seen 6.6 second times- do you have a stick or tiptronic?

Hi Andrew, My cab is a manual (stick shift)it has had the turbo body conversion with wheel spacers, maybe I'm loosing a bit with this added weight.I hope to take the car to santa pod for the "run what you brung days" but I hear they dont give a 0-60 time there.

Dove, they do give 0-60 times at the Pod on RWYB days. standing 1/4 too.

4.9 secs - they can't have used the clutch between 1st & 2nd. ouch !

I've found a CAR magazine Feb 1992 test where they did 0-60 in 5 secs dead in a C4. I can email it if required.

I have an issue of Sports Car International from 1992 that tested a new, stock RS America at 4.93 seconds from 0-60.

Both Car and Driver and Road&Track reported 0-60 times below 5 seconds when they first reported on the 964 series (early 1989 C4). Road&Track (Feb. 89) reported 4.9, and Car and Driver (also Feb. 89) got 4.8. From the photos, these were both reports from Europe. Could Porsche have supplied an early (or pre-) production car with a little extra tuning? Oddly enough Car and Driver retested a US spec car (Aug. 89) and reported 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. Like Andrew said, they will do things that no owner would every try.
