Folks,

I now have 3 stone chips in my windscreen. It's time for a new one.... Couple of questions

1. How much do they cost for a 1990 C4 ?
2. How much weight would I save getting an RS windscreen ?
3. How much is an RS vs standard windscreen ?

Dear Andy,
They are the same. For road cars the windshields were not permitted to be made thinner or lighter for different models of the same series. Side windows and rear window yes.

Hi Andy,
I had mine replaced in the UK (Autoglas) about a month ago and it was £577 including labour and part. Luckily I only had to pay the £50 insurance excess
When placing the order, make sure you mention:
1.If your current screen has the green sunshade strip at the top.
2.If it has the Radio antenna in the screen.

Sheesh - £577!!

The previos owner replace the screen in my car - the bill at an OPC (JCT in Leeds) was £350.

 

I just purchased mine with top tint(supply only) from National windscreens for £223 inc vat.
