after 20 years of desk jockeying I quit last June to start my own thing ... which became things

1. growing a toddler (full time)

and part-time
2. specialist medical device import (from US)
3. software (SAS) export (to US .. https://www.cognician.com/
4. strat consulting for Alternative Investment Management in Renewables
5. fixing up improperly fixed up P.cars (just cant work out how to sell any yet tho)

.... always looking for new prospective clients for any of the above to invite to my quarterly corp trackdays!

since I quit working for someone else I've had way less time for RL tho!

Nice stuff. I made a lot of my own furniture for my home. I used to make lots of parts for custom furniture, lighting, handrail, building restorers etc as part of one of my business. Used to make parts for Nanz custom hardware for homes like Martha Stewart and fencing for Mariah Carey railings for Mike Tyson and the like. Balusters for the Palace Hotel and the decorative elevators for the Flat Iron building in NYC as a small part of what we did aside from the defense work which was separate.

It is nice to see custom work with all the big box stores offering nothing but junk and so little creative design to it. Looks like you enjoy creating. Refreshing hopefully these skills will be brought back in greater numbers in this country.
