Manny, I was reading about your great time @ Summit, and had a question. You mentioned that your fast time came on your third heat cycle. Did you have the tires shaved? Heat cycled? Did you do anything special in your first 2 heat cycles?

No, I didn't have them shaved. Supposedly Michelin has designed the tread in such a way that they won't 'chunk' if you run them hard at full tread in the dry. So, far, I've done this to two sets of Cups and they are fine. I don't know if it's psychological or a chemical compound reason, but the Cups need at least 3 or 4 cycles to 'break' in.

You are right about the Cups needing a few heat cycles. Mine seem to get better with each session. It also seems that the 911 drivers are the ones who feel that they are just about equal to Hoosiers, while the water pumper drivers say they are quicker on Hoosiers.
