How clever is the tiptronic
How clever is the tiptronic 'brain'. If I'm redlining in 3rd, and I accidently change down into 2nd instead of up into 4th, will the brain let me ruin my engine or not??

No, the brain will not let you tap your valves by over revving your motor. That's what I liked about it, you cannot mess up. If I remember correctly, it will not let you take off in 3rd or 4th either. Pretty cool, huh?
