Why is there a big zipper in the headlining??
Why on earth is there a big zipper in the head lining just in front of the rear window???
Also, I have a little mobile phone antenna on the rear window. Will there be hole in hte glass screen - or can I remove the surplus to requirements antenna??

Hi,
Wait until your sunroof stops working, then you'll realise why there's a zipper there....
As for the antenna - don't know about a hole but it may damage your heated window elements. My car obviously had one removed before I bought it - lots of broken elements on the top third, in a nice V shape. Somebody asked a similar question a few days ago and there was a post about how you may prevent breaking the wires but can't remember what it was.

No zipper in mine John but then I do not have a sunroof either.
The phone antenna I had on my C4 and since removed it was a dual stick on thing. Part stuck on the inside aligned with the part stuck on the outside. As has been pointed out, drilling holes in rear windows is a dicey affair,

Yup, zipper is for servicing the sunroof and the antenna is, more than likely stuck on with adhesive on both sides. If you are nervous about removing it, take it to a mobile accessories store, they do that stuff all the time!

My 1990 C4 Cab has a "zipper" too and when un-zipped that rear plastic window drops down and I have great air flow through the cabin. I think the aftermarket Cab tops are made this way as the glued in rear plastic 993 Cab windows can leak water when that glue weakens from sunlight. The 993 Cab fabric is better from the factory than the aftermarket but the aftermakert has that zippable window which I like on my 964.
Thanks
