Following are pictures of a carbon fiber a/c compressor mount - considerably lighter and stiffer than the factory original piece. For additional weight savings, in the case of racers not having a/c, the unit can be made even lighter without the upper piece that holds the compressor. This piece looks and is quite complex because, as you know, it performs three functions -- holding the compressor, serving as a shroud and as a load bearing support.
