Talking Cool...I just got accepted into the car show on Sunday at the Porsche Parade.

Congratulations on being accepted to the Porsche Parking Corral/Car Show at the 50th Porsche Parade in Hershey, Penn. on Sunday, June 26th. You will need to register with the Car Show Staff on the morning of the event to sign the standard PCA waiver, gather your lunch tickets (if ordered), apply your corral numbers and get further instructions on the great move to the Hershey Hotel. Please note, only Porsches registered for the Corral will be allowed onto the fairways. If you are coming up with friends who are not registered, they will be directed to parking areas where a complimentary shuttle bus will transport them to the Concours/Corral.

Registration is at 7:30 sharp on Sunday, June 26th at Lot M on Hershey Park Drive. Please check the Parade website (http://www.pca.org/parade/2005) for directions to Lot M.

Your presence is requested on time to make this event possible. For purposes of organizing the model groups and to ensure we have an efficient registration of all cars, we cannot accept any arrivals AFTER 8 AM that morning.

From Lot M, we will escort model groups up the hill to the Hotel Hershey, were we will assemble on the fairways to be part of one of the most amazing Porsche sights ever seen.

Once on the fairways, Parade volunteers wearing distinctive shirts will direct you to your model group corral. Please follow their directions and quickly park your vehicle.

Due to an anticipated high spectator turnout, we are instituting a policy that once you leave the corral, your car will not allowed to re-enter. Our goal is to minimize the traffic flow and any potential pedestrian accidents.

If you did not purchase a lunch ticket, we encourage you to bring a picnic lunch. The Hotel Hershey will have refreshment and light fare available. Additionally, feel free to bring a blanket or chairs. While there are a great deal of trees for shade, this is a golf course, thus there are no picnic tables.

Please, no pets of any kind are allowed on the hotel grounds.

Additionally, in the event of inclement weather, please refer to the Parade website for updated information.

Do you get the message via email or snail mail? I put int for that as well, but haven't heard a lot back from them. Where are you staying? My wife and I ended up at the Comfort Inn Riverfront in Harrisburg since both the Hershey Hotel & Lodge were both filled by April 4. That does irk me some since they know how many cars were being invited and on the form it asked for info on # of rooms needed. But that's what happen when you wait on others to decide if they want to come or not (I tell ya, if they weren't family by marriage....) On the brighter side, my brother-in-law will be bringing his 997S up and is going to let me take it for a drive.

I know Don from Cape Cod will be there, he's at the Simmons Hotel I believe. We should all try to get together on a non-baquet night or grab some tables at the one of the banquets. We are doing Tuesday, Thursday & Friday IIRC.

I actually don't have any plans for a place to stay yet if I'll do that at all. I'm only about 1 1/2 hours away from Hershey so I might drive up that morning. This kind of came together on short notice for me and I don't even know if I'll be able ultimately to come. I'm supposed to be on vacation with my family in Myrtle Beach that weekend, but I mayhave to miss that due to work obligations. If I end up here, I'll come up to the parade on Sunday morning.
