Default How smooth should gear shifting be?

When changing gears it feels like I encounter some small resistance. I cannot remember if my previous C4 had this aswell, hence the question. Engaging needs also some effort. I've been through the archives and found that a clutch slave bleed and perhaps a replacement of the gearbox oil with Mobil seem like first things to do. Clutch, clutch fork without DMF was replaced 10.000 kms ago, I suspect the slave was also replaced but I'm not sure about the French term they used to discribe it on the bill.Tx.

Hello Kris,

I'm also encountering some small resistance when changing gear but that goes slowly away when the gearbox oil is getting warm.

Regards,
Henrik

I had a little notchiness and resistance, especially with the 1-2 shift. Now smooth as butter after a clutch master/slave cylinder replacement and fluid change/bleed. I've got 58k miles on the car and the clutch was done by the po at 38k miles.
