Hello to all

When I turned on my radio this sunday (Blaupunkt Coburg - supposedly installed in factory) I noticed there was something wrong. A "whizz" sound comes from loudspeakers and its frequency depends on engine revs. It's really annoying, usage of radio is virtually impossible. Of course it's a plug-related problem, but I'd like to check the radio before. Can it be a problem with radio shielding and/or antenna? I'd like to delay plug cables job for a little more time...

Greetings

What station is that on?? Is it stereo?? I'd love to find a station that just plays 964 engine sounds all day....

More seriously - take it to a competent radio installer & they will no doubt sort out the appropraite supressor etc for it.

Many times engine noise in the stereo is a ground related issue. I would check the ground on the stereo and amp to make sure that they have good contacts with the chasis.

It would also make sense that there is some sort of issue between the distributor and the plugs as well. I will let someone with more experience in the 911 world comment on this possibility.

Is it a whining or a crackling noise? If it's more of a whine it could be interference from the alternator rather than the ignition.
