Post Carbon Fiber Defroster Vent

It saves several hundred grams and, I think, looks good.

Cool

Must be nice. I've got to worry about paying to fix my $CCU$ before I'm allow to even think about getting fancy with the vents.

That's a pretty cool mod though because everyone can see in when the look through the windshield to drool.

I think people have ALOT to drool over with that car period! And yes... Molly (my daughter) does approve...however it is the purple and teal inside that really got her going. She now looks at my little White C4 and sighs... to plain she says hehehe I'm green with envy!

To be serious for a moment, the car was not built for envy. And the carbon fiber and titanium parts are not being built to make people drool. I will, however, take a moment in the next few weeks to take pictures of the purple luggage that Porsche made for the America GS.

Mr Carbon fiber, you have me constantly drooling!
Love your GS, always have, I'm glad that you as passionate as you are...
So the defrost vent, handles will fit my 993? If so give me your price please.
Also while you are at it can you PLEASE make the carbon fiber door sills I have been after for months??

Do you mean the interior handles or the exterior plastic handles with pocketed aluminum triggers and aluminum studs?

Not wishing to try and compete with Roberts amazing carbon kit, but here's our Carbon Fibre and Aluminium Tax Disc Holder!

though the tax disc holder is a piece of engineering brilliance, I can confirm that it is not competing with RL and his engineering chums!

It would seem that though these CF bits look nice they are all being made with an engineering, rather than cosmetic, purpose - a superlight 964!

I don't mean to sound stupid, and the problem is probably expressed best by The Rt. Hon. Sir W. L. S. Churchill vis-a-vis our separation by a common language, but what is a tax disc holder?

John:

Thank you. Although not nearly as elegant as the tax disc holder, a carbon fiber 964/993 engine mount with bonded titanium bosses and a 964/993 carbon fiber engine support/shroud/air conditioning compressor mount with aluminum bosses and an aluminum top plate (strength of titanium not neccessary in the latter piece and appropriate aluminum pieces weigh less).

Tax Disc is a piece of paper we buy anually for £160 - basically a tax on vehicle ownership, similar to the 'tags'(?) you stick to your license plates in the US.

Traditionally Tax Disc Holders were tacky bits of plastic, so we came up with an aluminium version as per link below!!

<a href="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/TaxDiscPic.jpg.jpg" target="_blank">http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/TaxDiscPic.jpg.jpg</a>

Unfortunately, with the exception of a couple of 'old empire' islands, The UK is the only country with Tax Discs. If it were the same worldwide I would be sitting pretty on the 996TT board!!
