Default Are anti-sway bars/strut braces worth having ?

Looking at prices, it seems that fitting an anti-roll bar is a relatively cheap upgrade.

I have a 1990 C4 Coupe, and the main use for me is as a weekend car for touring about. So good performance on the typical british country lanes is what I'm looking for.

I just wondered if it would be worth it for me ?

anti-roll bars do exactly what they say. As one shock comrpesses it transfers that motion to the shock on the other side. Thus attempting to keep the car level. You can do some interesting things with them such as preloading the car in one direction if you really wanted to.

Strut braces structurally reinforce the mounting locations of the shock/strut. I read somewhere around here the mounts inside the trunk of the 911 will flex quite a bit under heavy cornering. This flexing is motion that is not controlled by the springs and shock themselves, so it is generally unwanted. I've seen these in a couple flavors. Most common is a simple tube or bar or some other shape extending from one tower to the other.
