Hi all:

Lately, I've noticed white smoke coming from the tail pipe for about five minutes after a cold start up. Then it goes away. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

P.S. Oil consumption is fine; gas mileage is less than I hoped it would be. I don't know if this means anything.

Hi Jon,

Probably just water vapor. Put a clear piece of glass or mirror in the white smoke, then pull it away. If it fogs than clears without a residue, you've got water vapor. Also, look for water droplets on the ground beneath your exhaust tip.
