Post DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL ON TIPTRONIC

Excuse my stupidity but with all the storeis re DMF failing on manual 964s, can anyone give some insight on what is the situation for tiptronics.

Do they have also a DMF that fails and if so what would be the recommended fix.

Dear Damian,
The A50 tiptronic does not have a double mass flywheel. The tiptronic transmission is an automatic system (Mercedes system) in the full sense of the word. Very reliable to this point. Not that many around in the total number built, circa 15% but that is still a few. Most popular place is in the USA and the most tips per version are cabriolets.
Ciao,
Adrian
