Unhappy Car feels Somewhat wobbly after Alignment

I just had my 91 C2 Cab aligned and 2 new rear tires and now it feels somewhat wobbly. It used to have a very firm ride. When I'm driving, it may once in a while steer off a very tiny bit but not much and have to correct it. It definitely drives straighter and more stable but I'm worried something may have been missed. I 'm just wondering if anyone else had any similar symptoms or have experienced this.

What tyre pressures are you running and what size tyres/wheels do you have?

Are your new tyres the same make as those on the front?

Regardless of that, I've had similar symptoms happen until the new tyres 'bed in' after 100 miles or so.

Could it just be wheel balance with the new tires?

Sounds like wheel balance. Wider wheels are harder to balance, as the placement of the weight accross the width of the wheel makes a difference.

If they don't have what is called Dynamic balancing, it won't pick up this aspect.

It may also be of course that a weight has fallen off, or the tyres are 'adjusting' their shape. I'd suggest asking them to rebalance.

I haven't checked the tire pressure but I bought stock sizes for the rear - 225 50/16 not the same as the fronts. I'll recheck pressures and tire balance - thanks for all the tips.

i associate wheel balance problems with vibration at certain speeds (especially noticeable on mal-balanced front wheels). If the wheels are not vibrating, but the car wants to steer by itself - especially when driving over thick painted lines on the road, i'd say it was the change in alignment settings thats done it - camber / caster / toe. Have a look for differences in the printout 'before & after' settings - what are the camber settings before and after ?
Check all the pressures are ok.
Then i'd do as John says and put some miles on the rears to wear off any storage oil that may be on them and to scrub them a bit. if it makes no difference, speak to the allignment people.
