Post 964 Hardtop??????

Gents,
I hear they exist, the factory actually produced them! Do you know where I can buy one?
Thanks
Jason

Jason, do a search on this board. You'll find info and pictures. What I don't think you'll find is where to buy one as IIRC they were very expensive when new and few were sold. Again IIRC the same top fits the earlier 911 cabs. It is interesting to me that the current 996 hard top is both freely available and pretty inexpensive.

Dear Jason,
If you want one you will have to have it custom made. You will not get change out of $US10,000. I have as one can imagine many photos of 964s and the only hardtop I have seen is for the 1994 Speedster. Strosek made one. I have never seen an advert nor anything related to a 964 cab hardtop. You will hear stories and I was told that special customers (collectors) had hardtops custom made but these guys have very deep pockets.
Ciao,
Adrian

There was a thread "Pictures of the fabled 911 factory hardtop" which included pictures of a 911 turbo hardtop and Robert Linton's 964 (I think) hardtop. Thread is still there but pictures have gone.
