Default My Newest Addition

Here's a shot of my newest addition...

A SafeCraft fire extinguisher on a Brey-Krause mount! They offered a special mount for this particular FE but I decided to drill a few holes, two in the mount and two in the billet base, to mount it. Works well!

Looks great - is that on driver's side? Does it get in the way of your feet?

Wow - you don't expect an extinguisher to look so smart!

Marc,

Surprisingly it doesn't get in the way of my legs or feet. I was thinking it may catch my foot every now and then. If it does I'll turn it around and mount the head in the other direction. I'd only have to loosen the billet mounting rings to swap it. Brey-Krause says it's good for use on either the driver or passenger side... And since I have my drinkholder on the passenger side.. And it's easier to grab on the drivers side... That's where it went.

Nice addition. Kindly post the price for such a safety device setup that we all hope none of us ever needs.

Thanks

I want to keep my drink holder too so that's why I was asking -- I'll probably do the same thing. Is it a 2.5 lbs?

Thanks...Marc

Marc... Yup.. It's a 2.5 lb FE... Hawk... I bought the extinguisher from www.safecraft.com... The price was $300 for the FE and another $69.95 + shipping for the under seat mount from OG Racing. They sell extinguishers for much less but I wanted the FE with the billet aluminum top and mount. I saw it in the GT2 forum and had to have it!

Yes.. .I hope I'll never have to use it... But it's there if I need it. If I see someone else's car on fire though... They'll have to cough up $300 to have their car put out!
