Spark Plug Replacement
Hi All
I'm planning to do a valve adjust in the near future and I'm trying to get all my "Ducks In Line". I've purchased the gasket kit and researched the steps involved. I was wondering if there are any alternatives/preferences to the Bosch FR 5 DTC spark plugs mentioned in the manual which you experienced Porschephiles might suggest. I've owned for the past 2+ years / 40,000km's without changing them or a valve adjust (I know it's long overdue) and I don't have any records of the PO doing it. Once I actually remove the plugs and if they look OK should I reuse or just discard regardless?
Thank you in advance

Bill,
I would put new plugs in, and not try to reuse the old plugs. I'd probably go with the Bosch plug, as I don't believe NGK makes a replacement plug for our 964's. Beru probably makes one that would be fine too.

Just purchased a set of FR5TDC's online for under $3 each, they had NGK's also for about $5. I decided to go with German plugs for a German car. PM me if you want the web site to order.
