Thumbs up

That centre arm rest on the web site you specified is very cool. It also provides storage and allows one to keep their ashtray.
However, I agree that a price of between US$250 and $500 is a fair wack.

You get a choice, Regency or Adam Style!!!!

Seriously though, who the hell wants to make their tasteful understated Porsche interior look like a bloody Lexus!!!!

Well the cassette holder looks naff and is useless to me anyway since I have a cd player,

Preferred to bring the interior at least slightly into the modern world and thought the tray would be more useful.

As long as it isnt OTT.

I've never understood the desire for cupholders in cars.

We're told it's dangerous to use a phone in a car, so surely a steamy cup of cocoa is not a good idea.

But then, a nice hot drink in front of the fire can be pleasant...

Hey Phil,

In UK.

I heard recently that a woman stationery at a red trffic light took a gulp from her water bottle. Police saw her and fined her saying its dangerous.

A bloke has been fined for eating a chocolate in the car.

I believe another bloke caused an accident while trying to unwrap a sweet.

Hardly worth mentioning mobile phones.

Robert, upon purchasing my 964, I found it quite handy to just "pop out" the ashtray liner, then it is a storage bin of sort. The compartment looks similar to your picture once the liner is pulled out...it's nice smooth black plastic, with no holes/seams in it to lose stuff/gather dirt.

This has turned out to be a VERY handy spot to hold my cellphone as it fits perfectly and can be heard ringing even with the tunes up high.

About a month ago, I drove up to the track (VIR) without truck/trailer, just for the day, I unloaded the car and forgot my cellphone was there (the ashtray compartment). Later on in the day, I was on track...low and behold, my phone began to ring!

NO, I didn't answer it!

...but it did annoy the hell out of me until the person calling me (girlyfriend) decided to give up on the call, as I don't have voice mail...the thing will ring forever!

So, imagine me trying to "fly" around the track while being VERY annoyed at the phone ringing, BTW, I have it on a very loud/annoying ring pattern...just thought I'd relay a funny story.

Honestly, just "pop" the ashtray liner out and you'll find it a handy spot to stash stuff.
