Default A/C Question (for Adrian?)

I am installing A/C on a non A/C 964 C2 cabrio. Since I don’t have the clima control unit and, according to Adrian’s book I just can plug it in, I decided to do the electrical connections my self.

First question that arises is with respect the DME signal. According to Adrian’s book, DME gets the signal at pin 55 in the following manner:

- Temp control unit:
* - 0 volts = full cold.
* - 12 volts = full heat.
- Condenser fan speed signal.
- A/C compressor engaged signal (engine load data (earth(ground))).

Now, how could I ever reproduce all those signal at the same pin with normal wiring (relays and such)?.

I think that the important signal is the one that tells the DME that the compressor is engaged.

- Should I just give it a ground signal when engaged?
- Should pin number 55 be free now?
- If not, how should I give the DME the signal?

Thanks in advance for the mush appreciated help.
