Question Ruf Rain-Gutter Aero Pieces

Could somebody who has these please describe them?

Do the gutters themselves remain functional and, if not, can you expect a wet leg when you get out in the rain?

Do they really reduce the wind-noise?

How are they attached?

Pics appreciated.

I once tested a C4 with these Ruf rain gutter pieces. I could not notice a reduction in wind noise. As they are fitted to the rain gutters to the left and right of the wind screen, the gutter there is blocked. However, the gutter above the door remains functional. Hence, your foot may stay dry but your side window may not.

Thanks for the replies.

I guess I could fill the gutters or tape over them to see the effect.

It's not that I'm bothered by excessive wind noise (someone must be going to step in at this point! ), just curious.

It rather looks as if it might retain some A-post gutter function, albeit much reduced.
