Greetings 'listers,
My '92 cab started to drip oil from the front right wheel arch. It turns out that
the flex hoses are leaking. I wondered if anyone has replaced their oil lines
with aftermarket parts, such as Earl's or Aeroquip. I recently plumbed my Chevy
truck's remote oil filter & cooler for a little over $250, and that was using
about 18 feet of SS braided tubing.
If anyone has, I'd love to hear any comments about it.
Thanks,
Henry

Mine were leaking too, a quick tighten up with a basin wrench now they're "as dry as a bone".
If the hose eventually breaks down, I intend to take them to my local hydraulic firm to have new hose
fitted and/or new pipes formed from SS (local SS tube supplier is a mate). I can't see why the hose/tubes should be expensive, it only has 100 psi Max applied (if on the HP side, which I doubt) . but yet again its fitted to a "P" car !
I've just spent Sunday replacing the mild steel worm drive clips on the oil tank with SS ones. Why mild steel ones were ever fitted defies me!!

I looked into this when I replaced the filter housing to thermostat line. I came across a couple of disapointments with non-oem lines, and so went for oem myself (but from an independent supplier - and £100 less..)
