Post Gauge Trim rings

Hi

First question whats the best tool to remove and put the trim rings back on.

Second question, i was going to spring for a new set of alloy or aluminium trim rings but then it occurred to me, what are the existing ones made of and could they be sanded and polished then replaced.

All coments welcome.

The only ones I've seen are glue on types that sit on top of the original bezel. I'm afraid they'd pop off at a track event.

To remove, take a look at the tech section at http://www.pelicanparts.com. One of the Rennlisters, Tom Sharpes, has documented the gauge replacement process and includes tool recommendations and photos.
