Like the exterior colour - nice car! But what is that colour inside - kind of looks like a tart's boudoir - what is that - purple? (still smarting over the ludicrous amount of stick I get over my pinstripe seats. And that's from guys that are probably sitting on s**t coloured leather seats most of the time... )

Is it the photo or is your steering wheel egg-shaped?

Never really thought of it as a tarts boudoir, but It does give me some Ideas, Anyway, back to the colour, Its actually Light Grey (perple is maybe flash back from "flash"

It is indeed egg shaped, BUT It probably the most comfortable steering wheel I have ever driven with, it almost has similar feel to a momo race wheel!

same steering wheel & interior colour as my black C2 tip.
Christer, the interior is grey and the wheel is really that shape - makes the dials really visible and gives a little extra leg clearance underneath.

After looking at all these photos on the board, I've booked my car car in for a re-polish (it was partially resprayed a few weeks ago after some roof tiles landed on my car - ouch!). Anyway, when shiny I'll take some pics & post them.

Just notices - those pinstripes remind me of a sofa I once saw in Sir Jimmy Saville's apartment. If you ask nicely Christer, maybe Jim'll fix it

Have a look at the picture below. Now THATS a pinstripe interior!!!

This is one of the cars for sale at 911virgin - not suprisingly has been there for some time...

John, you didn't tell me you had an egg-shaped steering wheel! This more than compensates for the liquorice tyres....

Is anybody else wondering what John was doing in Jimmy Saviles apartment?

Anyway, on closer inspection my pinstripe has a small inscription on the edge - it reads 'Holland & Sherry of Savile Row, est. 1864'.

Pure class!

1. So it's a Tippytaptronic thing then, with the egg-shaped wheel?

2. Do your own polishing and use the saved money to get a full suspension kit. IMHO.

Richard

I apologise unreservedly - this is supposed to be banter.

I will exclude you from all such future correspondence.

Nothin' wrong with a little banter Rich - hey, if I had pinstripes and Guards Red (or is it Gaudy Red ) I'd indulge in a little silver tonged banter too.

All harmless fun as far as I can see- anyway, the true test will come on teh tip vs 5-speed day.

Can a black/grey leather four speed with no clutch, an egg shaped steering wheel & liqurice tyres, driven by an Aussie outdo the red, stripey thing with square mirrors, khumos and a new moo-moo steering wheel??

Only time will tell!

I can see where this is going (or has gone) - I would think that the answer is probably Yes! It will be a good day out I am sure if we can get it organised considering our geographical spread...

Hey guys,

If you want banter you can subsribe to the Titanic 964 group. Its an email list (you send/receive emails as they happen) and about 90% of the traffic is completely unrelated. There are a few of us which have been there for ages so we know what to expect, but most new people tend to unsubsribe after a week or so.

Having said that, its completely UK based and occasionally there is some good advice given out.

Anyways, have a look under Titanic.co.uk if you think you're hard enough!

I really hope this doesn't mean tan leather, since I think tan leather is particularly classy. Not biased either - it's pure coincidence that my car has tan leather.

If you think pin stripes look bad, you should have seen mine before I changed the steering wheel. Tan seats / door interiors etc with black dashboard. But with a tan steering wheel - disgusting.
