Default what are they bypassing?

bought the car this way, and Smokin thought it would be good to post this, since he's never heard of this. What do you think the PO bypassed by doing this? "This" is the copper wire from the clock to the speed adjustment for the wipers.

... pull out your clock to see! It's easy to slide out the instruments, especially the clock - just put a screwdriver under the rubber part and pull outward - if you keep the screwdriver UNDER the rubber, you won't scratch the clock and it will just slide out...

that's kinda what I was thinking. Seems to be in the right spot anyway. Winder why they didn't run it behind though.

Hawk... I'd pull the clock out and see what they connected it to... Take a picture and post it if possible.
