Wings Pedal
My instructor at my first DE had a Wings pedal installed. It appeared to make heel & toe downshifts much easier. Has anyone used one and what are your impressions?
How does the pedal attach to the original gas pedal (screws, clamps ??)
Thank you.

Yes, I've got one.
They are adjustable in 3 axis so as to provide the best geometry for 'heel and toe' downshifting.
I have rather small feet so I wanted this sort of adjustability.
I purchased the wide version but have since cut off the extra width~probably for someone with very small feet.
There are cheaper alternatives that work for some who just want extra height on the pedal such as bolting another pedal on top of the existing.

I have one, and it takes maybe two minutes to install it the first time. Maybe another few minutes to adjust the angle of it. There are several clamps that tighten around the gas pedal. I also got the wide version and it works well for me.

I kinda like the Vosstek pedals...
I'm not sure how adjustable they are - I just screwed them in. I had to drill holes in the cluttch and brake pedals.

Hi,
On the recommendation of several other users, I just bought the wide version (I, too, have small feet) and installed it myself in about 10 minutes using only a screwdriver. You might also need a mirror to pop the throttle link back into place under the pedal (I did). Basically the whole thing just clamps over the existing pedal, using two fixed pieces and one with a screw tightener.
I did my first DE the day after installation, and I must say it made a big difference, although I was severely out of practice on double-clutching. Give me a month or two with it, and things should be back to the old days (FF racing at Jim Russell Canada 22 years ago...).
By the way, the only workable height position for me was as low as it will go. This still adds about 3/4 of an inch above the original pedal height. If the pedal is adjusted higher than that, it is then higher than the fully-depressed brake pedal, which makes double-clutching dicey at best.
Good luck, Mike!

Sorry Roygarth,
Their advertisement in the latest Excellence still does not include a website. Perhaps that's how they keep their cost so reasonable. US Tel. 203.438.2222 and fax 203.431.8792. They are located in the state of Connecticut. International shipment quotes are handled individually. Price for the Std. Ver. is $109 and $115 for the XW (wide).
They have models for various Porsches including, of course, the C2/C4. Please consider a purchase as our economy could use an influx of foreign capital.
