Clock Removal?
So I got the clock out of the dash opening, and was able to wiggle off the big round plug, but how the heck to you disconnect that one wire with the round black plastic post? From what I can tell, it looks like a cut or desolder job?!?

I replaced mine as well. Try needle nose pliers, but be careful not to bend it because it will snap. That big plug was actually the tricky one--this one is easy. Also, Tom Sharpes posted pictures on the Pelican Parts Tech section which helped me through this. It's included in one of his two Gauge Face Replacement hacks.
I bought a '94 clock off of Ebay for my '91 car. Works great ... so far. I had the lights reset at the Porsche Dealership--it took them three minutes to plug in their computer and clear everything. And for once, it was free! <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />
