Hi.
First of all, best wishes and respect to our U.S. Porsche friends, one year on from the horror your nation has endured.
My question:
After weeks of 'phoning all the UK porsche breakers, I'm still no closer to finding a rear wiper arm -mine broke halfway up, but I understand the spindles wear, which is why nobody has one for sale!. I refuse to pay £70+vat+P&P for a new one on principle. (even if the principle is only that I'm a tightwad..)
No rush...doesn't rain much in scotland ;-)
Would pay shipping from the states for the right price...

Weld it back. Thats what I did. It's on the rear so it's hardly used/stressed anyway. I think mine had to be brazed (brass welding) but I'm not sure. I have a shop anyway so I just took it out gave it my shop foreman who welded it, ground it down and gave it a coat of black urethane paint. Looks good as new. Like you I thought it was ridiculous to pay that much for a new wiper arm (hmm.... us tightwads are not alone....)
cheers,
Kris
