Post C4 battery question

Starting to do the pre-winter check on the 89 C4,and while looking in the trunk and cleaning everything out I noticed that the PO had installed a "Economy" brand battery. I know that this battery is only about 6 months old but I don't know this brand. Soooo, I'm probably going to replace it. What specs do I need? The current battery is rated at:
Reserve capacity 75
Cranking amps 525
Cold Cranking amps 420
Is this what I need?
BTW, if anyone knows if the "Economy" brand battery is a good one I'd rather save my money. I know that there are only a few battery manufacturers that put out most of the batteries, so sometimes brands don't mean much. TIA

I have had good luck with Sears Diehard batteries. According to Sears, the specs for a 90 C-4 are group 48 battery size and minimum 650 cold cranking amps. The model I have is a

Diehard International
Sears Item #02831248000
Mfr. Model #31248
$99.99

I'm sure other brands are equally as good. As long as your aren't having problems, I wouldn't replace it.

I got my last 911 battery from Autozone. Around $60. Even had the feet on the bottom so it could be clamped down. Warranty was like free replacement if failure in first 2 years and another 4-5 years after that. Rated well in Consumer Reports battery test a few years back.

Andrew, where are you located?? It doesn't sound like you're in TOO much of a hurry to "upgrade" your battery, so if you're ever in Va. or I'm traveling about, I am about to changeout my BRAND NEW Interstate battery for an Optima as I do several track events and it seems I've gotten a little acid spillage inside the front compartment.

It'll be available at "bargain basement" prices!

Thanks for the info guys. I decided to go with the Sears International for 99 bucks. I originally bought a Optima but it turns out that the positive cable has a angle that would not work out with the Optima. It seems the post was a little to much in from the outside of the case. Next project is fixing the horns and bleeding the brakes. BTW if anyone has a old set of rims laying around I'm looking for a set for the winter.

YES! In fact the positive terminal on the Optima batteries is in about 1/2" more than a normal battery...rendering the 90deg. bend in our positive cable end useless. <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />

I was warned of this before purchasing one by another 964 owner who converted to an Optima.

I'm going to chop off the original end and have a nice one from a stereo installation shop that has extra 8gauge ports for the accessory wires, etc. This is okay by me due to the fact that I'm adding another amplifier up front for my door speakers, so the 8gauge port is perfect for the power cable.

Can you say BOOM!
