I think 40-42 is still lower than spec:

SPECS:

at idle
3.3 bar + - .2 bar = 44.95 to 50.75 psi

jumped relay
3.8 bar +- .2 bar = 52.2 to 58.01 psi

Maybe your FPR needs a look at too!

Did you check these yourself or did the gararge do it??

EDIT - ANOTHER QUESTION

These pressure specs - are they measured before or after the Fuel Pressure Regulator?? If the specs are downstream of the FPR, which they must be if taken at the fuel rail, is there a test point for BEFORE the regulator??
