So much for getting the car ready for Thursday... since I am doing all the work on the brakes, calipers are out, etc... might as well change the stock lines for new ones. I went ahead and ordered the lines from AJUSA.
Thanks for the link puma1824!
No problem...just ordered my set too.
Anyone have proceedures on how to replace the lines?
Is there a link that someone could provide on how to properly bleed the brakes/hydraulic system on a 964? Can power bleeders be used to flush out the ABS and traction control circuits? Are they independant or do you need to bleed both at the same time? I think I read somewhere that the only way to bleed the differential lock actuators was to go to a shop with a Hammer that could cycle the locks. Could you do the same thing by engaging the diff lock switch on the console('89 C4)? Finding a shop in Western Mass that has a Hammer has not been easy.
The SS lines should have a PTFE liner, which is not so suseptible to the damage and swelling the rubber ones are, I had two rubber ones fail on my 10 year old Audi during an MOT, I couldn't see them myself, but was shown them on the MOT by the tester, frightened the life out of me...
Overnight shipping for the brake lines... might still be able to have the car done before Thursday. woohooo!
Geoff is staying at the Swan Hotel near Disney. What time are you gonna head out there? I have a big road design project due at work thursday so cant head out there until 5:30 or so. He is going to call me tomorrow. I still have your cell so will confirm plans if he doest talk to you first.
